Where do dreams come true?
For many, a child’s dream comes true in one of the most magical places on earth: Walt Disney World® Resort.
At least that’s what Jacey would say if you asked her. After being diagnosed with Neutropenia and after so many hospital stays and treatments, this three-year-old knew a trip to Disney was exactly what her family needed. A chance to get away. A chance to be a worry-free family. A chance for Jacey to be a kid.
Some of Jacey’s favorite things are Disney movies and specifically the Frozen characters Anna and Elsa. With a love of playing dress up, Jacey often pretends she, herself, is a princess singing Let It Go.
While Jacey and her family were at Disney World, they stayed at Give Kids the World Village where Mayor Clayton comes to tuck the kids into bed. The family spent their days enjoying the parks and they even had a chance to check out all the aquatic adventures available at Sea World. Jacey’s favorite part of Disney was a personal meet-and-greet with Anna and Elsa and seeing Cinderella’s castle light up the Orlando night sky.
Jacey’s Mom Jeanette told Make-A-Wish® Alabama “Jacey was ecstatic about every part of her trip! We've seen a new side of Jacey this week. She's gotten back so much hope and maybe soon her number one wish will be granted, too...to be healthy and free of Neutropenia.”
It’s our hope that kids just like Jacey and her family will remember these memories for a lifetime and enjoy the time spent away from their daily, often-harsh reality.
