Braxton loves cheering for the University of Alabama, listening to country music, but most of all he loves building with Legos. Braxton’s diagnosis of Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy has caused him to endure many appointments with all types of doctors. Therapy and treatments are met with a happy attitude despite the progressive disease that continues to weaken his muscles. When he was visited by volunteers from Make-A-Wish® Alabama, he knew he wanted to go to Legoland. Braxton and his family traveled to Florida over the New Year’s holiday to experience the World’s Largest Legoland theme park. Before opening for the day, the park gave Braxton a special honor by allowing him to “flip the switch” and turn on the lights to start his day of adventures. Braxton’s dreams come true, his imagination ran wild and his family was thrilled to see their little boy forget about his illness.
