Make-A-Wish Foundation grants Disney dream to Liberty student

Special to The Times

The Make-A-Wish Foundation made a special visit to Liberty Middle School this week to help brighten the spirits of a girl who already beams with radiance.

Seventh-grader Anna Post got a surprise cupcake reception with classmates and learned that the foundation is sending her and her family on a Disney Cruise.

Anna has a condition known as idiopathic multicentric osteolysis with nephropathy, which is a relatively unknown chronic disorder that presents bone deterioration to the point of joint dysfunction.

Representatives from the Alabama chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation joined Liberty special ed teachers Natalie Lane and Laurie Viers along with Liberty aide Mary Hardin and Anna's parents, Lisa and Jeff Post, for the reception.
