14-year-old Valley Grande boy wishes to spend more time with his family
Prattville, Al. – If you could have one wish in the world…just one…what would you wish for?
When Tyler was asked that question his answer was steady and immediate.
The 14-year-old, who has Cushing’s disease, didn’t want an exotic vacation, a shopping spree or to meet his favorite celebrity. Instead, Tyler wished to have a pop-up camper with the sole intention of being able to spend more time with his family.
Burton Campers and Make-A-Wish® Alabama will be granting Tyler’s wish Saturday, May 31, at the Prattville Zaxby’s located at 1750 E Main Street in Prattville beginning at 11:00 a.m.
We ask the media to arrive by 10:45 a.m.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of this reveal,” Zaxby’s Licensee and Make-A-Wish Alabama board member, Brandon Miller, said. “It’s amazing to be involved with a child’s wish on a local level. Zaxby’s is a national sponsor of Make-A-Wish, but helping children and families in your own backyard gives you a sense of pride that you really can’t explain.”
The wish reveal celebration will be a surprise to Tyler, who thinks he is stopping by Zaxby’s for an unscheduled lunch.
“Every wish is truly unique in its own way,” Make-A-Wish Alabama President and CEO, Pam Jones, said. “But this wish is not only unique…it’s selfless. Tyler didn’t want something for just him; he wanted something his entire family could enjoy and this pop-up camper will give him and his family many memories for years to come.”
